Control Arm Assembly

Forcing… the Issue

Force Robotics Automation

Insertion force monitoring is the issue in a machine recently designed and built to handle an assembly operation on lower control arms. The machine assembles ball joints and rubber cushioning grommets for both right and left-hand components. A key to the machine’s success is the use of Sterling’s minimum force sensors to verify that the insertion forces needed for correct assembly are within tolerance. The in-process monitoring of the forces insures the proper operation of the control arm on the vehicle. Is assembly an issue with you? Or handling? Or loading/unloading? Our automation know-how can help you resolve any of these...and more. Just give us a call.
